The women of JLL Des Moines, operating in a male-dominated industry, recognized the importance of creating a supportive and empowering community to elevate and empower the women of Central Iowa. As dedicated professionals, mothers and women who believe in supporting women, they understand the unique challenges women face daily. Motivated by their experiences, they saw an opportunity to establish an event to serve as an intimate gathering where women can connect, share, and learn from one another. They aim to foster a supportive environment that inspires confidence, growth, and success.

Taking Up Space is a powerful and transformative networking and panel event for women in business. In this inclusive environment, women from diverse backgrounds come together to forge meaningful connections, share experiences, and inspire one another. This event brings female leaders from across Iowa, who have shattered glass ceilings and overcome obstacles, to share invaluable insights about breaking down barriers, advancing in their careers, and tackling challenges head-on.
